Searching for my best friend.

Hi. I`m a 30 year old aussie guy who is looking for long term email, snail mail, and chat pals (and if there`s a spark, possibly more). I`m a hopeless romantic at heart; but, unfortunately, I rarely have the chance to show it since, due to social anxiety, I find it very difficult to meet people. I`m very shy until I get to know someone. Some of the things I enjoy are music (I`m a musician), anime, storms, star-gazing, the countryside, rainforests, animals (especially cats), reading (Terry Pratchett, E.A.Poe, Anne Rice), theatre, film, computers, vampire mythology, sci-fi/fantasy, British comedy, bookstores... The list is endless. I tend to favour intellectual and artistic pursuits over more sporting interests. I`ll tell you more if you decide to write to me. The traits I admire the most in others include intelligence, kindness, honesty, and open mindedness. I love creative people. If you're looking for an over confident, drop dead gorgeous, macho guy with muscles the size of Gibraltar, you'd be wasting your time writing to me because I'm not it. If anything, I guess I'd have to describe myself as a dork. lol. But seriously, if you share any of my interests, please write. I'd love to get to know you. And who knows, maybe our friendship will turn into something more.
