GenderQueer Aspergian
I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome during high school, and I still struggle with a lot of social interactions (sensory overload, anxiety, learning how to cope with unfamiliar situations, re-adjusting to familiar ones after periods of isolation, making and sustaining friendships).
I've always been a homebody, so I turn to the internet searching to make meaningful connections with other people. Although, I aspire to be more adventurous... I need a little help feeling comfortable putting myself out there, and would really appreciate finding some emotional support.
And I apologize in advance if I seem at all rude. I promise, it's rarely intentional
Quite often I tangle with embarrassing misinterpretations, and I've found that the one sure way to avoid feeling like a fool is just to clearly explain the way statements have been perceived when there appears to be a possible misunderstanding. Thanks.
